Heartworm Antigen Rapid Test
Heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) is a serious parasitic infection transmitted by mosquitoes, which affects the heart, pulmonary arteries, and surrounding blood vessels of dogs and cats. If untreated, it can lead to severe health problems such as heart failure, lung damage, and even death. Early detection is critical for successful treatment, as irreversible damage can be prevented in the initial stages of infection.
The REAGEN Heartworm Antigen Rapid Test is a fast and reliable diagnostic tool based on colloidal gold immunochromatographic technology. It detects heartworm antigen in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma samples. A positive result is indicated by the appearance of a red line in the test zone (T), while the control zone (C) confirms the test validity.
