FAQ
Frequently asked questions
1. How reliable are the coronavirus rapid tests?
Our company works with world-class medical diagnostic equipment manufacturers, where researchers and virologists work under strict production processes to produce the highest quality rapid tests. The tests work with great safety and precision, and due to their excellent quality, they are used by laboratories, private hospitals, pharmacies, companies and family doctors.
All coronavirus and other rapid tests we distribute are highly reliable.
2. Are these approved coronavirus tests?
The coronavirus rapid tests and other rapid tests we sell naturally have all EU permits, as well as the CE marking required in the European Economic Area, as well as official certificates issued by the NNGYK, i.e. the NATIONAL CENTER FOR PUBLIC HEALTH, in our country.
3. What result does the IgM/IgG antibody rapid test show?
The coronavirus IgM/IgG antibody rapid test is suitable for detecting early (IgM) and late (IgG) antibodies produced by the body, either in the later stages of the disease or after vaccination.
If you have not received a coronavirus vaccination, the IgM/IgG antibody rapid test can help identify the middle and late stages of an active infection. The test detects antibodies in a blood sample, providing insight into the patient's immune response to the infection.
IgM (early antibody) negative and IgG (late antibody) negative:
The patient has either not been infected or is in such an early stage of the disease that the body has not yet produced antibodies. In the absence of vaccination, it is recommended to repeat the test after a few days, especially if coronavirus symptoms are present.
IgM positive and IgG negative:
– Without vaccination: The patient is likely currently infected with coronavirus. In this case, the infection should be confirmed with other methods, and the patient should consult their general practitioner for further steps.
– After vaccination: Indicates the presence of early antibodies in the body.
IgM positive and IgG positive:
– Without vaccination: The patient is likely in the later stage of infection (10–14 days). A strict 10-day quarantine is still recommended from this point, along with a confirmatory test.
– After vaccination: Indicates the presence of both early and late antibodies in the body.
IgG positive and IgM negative:
– Without vaccination: The patient has most likely already recovered from the infection and is theoretically no longer contagious. However, this result should still be taken seriously, and staying home for a week is recommended to help prevent the spread of the virus.
– After vaccination: Indicates the presence of late antibodies in the body.
4. What does the coronavirus antigen rapid test detect?
The SARS-CoV-2 antigen test is based on the detection of the virus protein, i.e. the antigen. Antigen testing can help in the rapid and accurate identification and timely isolation of infectious patients. The rapid test provides reliable assistance in detecting the early stages of infection. The antigen test detects the presence of infection from a nasal or throat swab within 15 minutes. It is a much faster and cheaper solution than the PCR test.
5. When should an antigen test be performed, and when should an antibody test be used?
Antigen testing is helpful in the early stages of infection, and can be used to detect current infection. Antigen testing is best done upon waking. You should not eat, drink, smoke, brush your teeth, or rinse your mouth before the test, as these activities can interfere with the throat or nose samples.
The same does not apply to the antibody (IgM/IgG) test, as the test can be done at any time of the day from a drop of blood obtained from a fingertip. Antibody testing is best done later in the infection, as it shows whether your body has already overcome the coronavirus disease. It is also worth doing the test after getting vaccinated against the coronavirus to see if your body has produced antibodies.
