Lyme Disease Rapid Test
The Lyme Disease Rapid Test is intended for the qualitative detection of Borrelia IgG and IgM antibodies in human whole blood, serum, or plasma. Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by Borrelia species bacteria, most commonly transmitted through tick bites.
The most common early symptom is a spreading skin rash (erythema migrans) that appears around the site of the tick bite, typically about one week after exposure. The rash is usually neither itchy nor painful. However, 25–50% of infected individuals do not develop this symptom. Other early symptoms may include fever, headache, and fatigue.
If left untreated, the infection may progress and cause more severe symptoms such as facial paralysis (on one or both sides), joint pain, severe headaches, neck stiffness, and irregular heartbeat. This product is available for professional use only.
